Rhythmic Variations Series Two is written in four-four (common) time, for ease of counting. While the original Hanon exercises are written in two-four, this needn't cause any confusion, as the rhythm and speed can be exactly the same.
The AA-LL rhythmic templates are all demonstrated on Hanon Exercise 1. The Tapping Drills are included in the Pattern Build-up videos.

Here is an introductory video covering the unison AA, BB and CC patterns build-up.
Exercise HCV-AA
The AA series starts with unison combination of quavers, dotted quavers and semiquavers (eighth, sixteenth and thirty-second notes). Listen to the performance video while studying the beat map before attempting a performance. More help with the build-up of syncopation in the covering video above. |

Transferring the pattern
Here is the HCV-AA rhythmic template applied to Hanon No.9.
|
Exercise HCV-BB
Still a unison pattern, but the dotted-quaver/semiquaver pair is in a different place. Watch the covering video above for a run-down on the first three patterns. |
Transferring the pattern
Here is the HCV-BB rhythmic template applied to Hanon No.10.
|
Exercise HCV-CC
There are two dotted-quaver/semiquaver pairs in the middle of the bar. Unison. |
Transferring the pattern
Here is the HCV-CC rhythmic template applied to Hanon No.11.
|
Exercise HCV-DD
A quaver rest and two semi-quavers are introduced. Hands still in unison. |
Pattern build-up
A video showing how to practice the hands separately and together in a static five-finger position.
Transferring the pattern
Here's an audio example of the HCV-DD rhythmic template applied to Hanon Exercise No.12.
