The right hand starts with a semiquaver rest. Count: "(One)-and-two-and-(three)-and, (one)-and-two-and-(three)-and". Practice the right hand on its own first. The quavers in the left hand are on quaver two: "One two-and-three, one two-and-three". Listen and study the beat map. |

Exercise HCV-G
The first and second halves of the right hand bar are different. The first half is like the previous exercise. Count: "(One)-and-two-and-(three)-and...". The second half of the bar counts: "One-and-(two)-and-(three)-and..." Practice the right hand on its own first. The semiquavers in the left hand are on quaver two: "One two-and-three, one two-and-three" (HCV-B). Listen and study the beat map. Preparatory steps demonstrated below if needed. |
