Here are the harmonic minor scales in the flat keys F through to G flat (parallel majors).

As with the melodic minors, minor keys built on A flat, D flat and G flat are spelled as 'enharmonic' G sharp, C sharp and F sharp minors. (This minimizes the numbers of accidentals used.)

As before, each scale is built from the parallel (same tonic) major.

• The third is flattened, creating the melodic minor ascending;
• The sixth is flattened, creating the harmonic minor (ascending and descending.
