First Set - C, Bb, Ab and Eb

Just listen-to-and-watch the first PentHan 02-09-21 'set' to get an overall feel.

It transposes from C down a whole tone to Bb, ditto to Ab then down a fourth to Eb (flat keys).

Work out what the operating patterns are.

• The right hand is an overlapping set of pentatonic 'skip' intervals; essentially 2 x 3 cross-rhythmed by the time signature (6-8 swing, or jazz waltz) in 3 x 2.
• The left hand plays in the time signature - groups of three neighbouring pentatonic scale-tones overlapping by one tone. The rhythm of the left hand develops over the course of the three modulations (four variations).

Just three sharp keys; down a whole-tone and down a fourth.
