Teaching notes
A major pentatonic pattern-based exercise.
The six-note RH u-u-u-d-d-u pattern starts on the tonic (T) and plays again on 6, 2 and 5 before descending through the same tones.
The LH just takes a leisurely stroll up the pentatonic scale.
The pattern modulates up a major third, so you play only twice before arri9ving at the octave.
Learn the exercise one key at a time. Working out a fingering that works is key. Where does the thumb go under, rising? Where, and which, finger comes over, descending?
