Rhythmic Pentatonic Scales

Here are the last two three-four patterns in D minor.
Check you're up to speed with the T-L-R patterning.
Now play the through-the-keys exercise.
A special case, introducing tuplets. The three notes on the last beat (right hand) are evenly spaced.

You may notice how, in some bars, the tuplet timing (the even spacing of the beat three notes) extends forward to the last note in beat two.

In practice, jazz swing feel is beyond notation. Jazz 'triplet feel' quavers are almost always 'smoothed' towards even quavers, and the whole jazz 'feel' includes playing a little behind the beat, and free of it.
Incorporate as much jazz feel in these exercises as you can muster. That's what they're here for!
Now go on to learn the scales for the C minor key set - Cm-Fm-Gm.
